A little bit of sewing on a Friday night.

I had good intentions of sewing alot last night but by the time I got  home and did a few chores, I was just too pooped. I did start a sew together bag for a friend who lives in England, I got all 3 zips in so I was happy with that.
My friend loves pink so I dug out all my pretties  for her bag.
My on line stitching group had a kitchen swap and this is what I received from my partner, some beautiful placemats made from Bonnie and Camille fabric. I love them.
So much work has gone into them., Thankyou Sue.
I made my partner a casserole carry bag, it looks like a mini quilt doesn't it? Thats the outside, The pattern was just plain fabric with no binding, just turned out and top stitched but I wanted to make mine a little more special.

The inside has the handles and loops, I loved making it and I think I'll have to make a few more for gifts.

I'm so happy its a long weekend, I have so much to do, lots to sew and a pattern to write.

Hope you enjoy your long weekend and you find some sewing time.

Great bag and getting in three zips when pooped is a pretty good effort in my book.

I think getting three zips into that bag (which is so very pretty btw) is a great effort for a FNWF......and pooped too!

What lovely gifts - for both of you! I've been seeing those bags with the three zips around blogland. Yours will be beautiful with those pretty pinks.

Three zips is quite an achievement when you are 'pooped'. Heck.. one zip when your in full steam can be difficult. Well done. Love all your swap gifts. Hope you found time to do all you wanted over the weekend. Hugs.....

Hi Leanne,

I have never heard of a casserole carrier bag. For what is it used?
Where do you carry those casseroles (hot or cold?).

You busy little sewer you! I love your casserole cover/carry. I'd never heard about them until I moved to Tassie!

That's the second time in the last day that I've seen someone making a sew together bag. I think I may have to try one. If I can remember where to get the pattern.... Love yours in pink!

LOVE the sew together bag. Was able to have a close look at one at my stitching day group. My friend and I make each other bags for birthdays and dollies for Christmas, so she already knows the bag is on my wish list for this year :)) xx debbie
