More post cards

Here is my collection of fabric post cards that were sent to me by my penfriends and people in my post card swap, they are very special.

My weekend away in Bridport

I had a lovely time last weekend with my friends Cathy and Meredith in Bridport, we got lots of sewing done and I watched heaps of chick flicks that I've been wanting to see for ages. I worked on my Miss Millies quilt, its a Bronwyn Hayes design, I'm about half way with the stitcheries. Its such a nice project to work on.

Flowers

This morning I picked some of my favourite flowers from our garden and bought them inside to brighten up the room, aren't they pretty. Flowers of any kind always look nice inside.

My craft bag

We all love bags of all shapes and sizes, here is my craft bag I made, I used some of the stitcheries from Bronwyn Hayes pattern polka dot girls, these are the pockets. It was a fun bag to make.

red work blocks

I have joined a red work block swap and these are some of the blocks I have received so far, they are from the USA so they are very special. We had to make 20 blocks, 4 for each person, I think I'll make a wall hanging when I get all mine back

Pay it Foreward

I've joined the pay it foreward challenge. I think it will be fun. I love doing things for people and making gifts for my friends. The first three people to join me will receive a handmade gift from me. I have 365 days to make and send it . Hopefully it won't take me that long though. Then each of you three must also put this on your blog and get three people to sign up, then you make your people a hand made gift.
Marit has joined my challenge, I still need 2 more people so if you would like a handmade gift from me please leave me a comment.

More fabric postcards

I enjoyed making my first lot of postcards so much I decided to make some more, these ones are made with scraps of Aboriginal prints and on the back I traced patterns from leanne's Beasley's book, Romancing the Road Trip. I love this book and I have started making my own stitched post card quilt,

My new bag

Here is a bag I made from 5 inch charm squares, its a great size. I can fit all my quilting supplies in it.

Georgetown Friendship Day

I had a great day today, I went to Georgetown with my friends Cathy and Alex to a quilting day, we all had a great time, when we got there we all got a lucky dip bag which contained some sweet little handmade goodies from the clever ladies of the group.

We also got to meet our blogging friends Sarah and Kristy, we sat at their table and enjoyed their company for the day. It was a hive of activity all day with everyone working on their own projects and even show and tell, the quilts we saw were beautiful, The quilted Crow had a trade table there and I spotted my next project, its a Kerry Gillespie design called Life's Little treasures, the quilt is so pretty,

My friend Zoe won a raffle prize which was a box of lovely bath goodies, she kindly gave it to me which was a wonderful surprise.

Today was the perfect way to spend a Saturday, I wish I could do it more often.
