So much to show you

I'm back again with a few more presents to share with you,  I received this beautiful stitched table cloth from my mum, hasn't she done an amazing job. All that stitchery would have drove me mad but mum stuck with it and its so lovely.
Here is a close up of the middle, thanks Mum I love it.

I have been a very good girl this year and santa gave me this awesome camera. I have always had just a little compact camera but I wanted to update to something bigger and better. I still don't know how most of it works but I have taken a few snapshots. The boys are sick of me already telling them to smile so when they see me with the camera they run and hide. Cheeky buggars.
I took this photo in our garden and see how the flower is perfectly clear but the back ground is  blurry. I have always wanted to do that and now I can. I don't even know how I did that this time but lets hope I work it out. I have watched a few tutorials on you tube and they are really good. Its like being in the camera shop and someone telling you all about it.
My moth in law is the best ever. She know how much I LOVE Cath Kidston and look what she sent me, A beautiful bag.
A gorgeous toiletry bag full of little goodies every girl needs.
And a Cath Kidston preserve kit. thankyou Dawn, I love you heaps.
The best gift of all would have to be from my youngest son , he made the most beautiful ornaments at school for each of us. He did such a good job.

I'm having a day at home today so I reckon I'll be sewing, how about you?? What are your plans for the day. I hope its a good one.

My SSCS gifts

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful christmas. Ours was very quiet but oh so lovely, Hubby had to work Christmas day which was a bit of a shame unfortunately the Emergency Dept. doesn't shut  for Christmas.  We had a beautiful dinner instead of lunch which consists of turkey, ham and all the trimmings. It was delicious.
I do miss the boys getting up at the crack of dawn full of excitement like they did when they were younger but it was still fun opening all our gifts, we did a secret santa between us and it was fun to see what the boys bought. Daniel had to buy for me and he gave me a DVD that I wanted so that was good.
I loved opening up my swap gifts, the Bliss cushion is my gift for the SSCS , thankyou to Sue from New Zealand. I was so happy  to have such a pretty cushion and it goes perfect with my new bliss quilt which is almost finished. I'll share that as soon as the binding is done.
These are the gifts I sent to my partner Oddbjorg from Norway. I was thrilled when chooky gave me her name as we have swapped before so it was like making something for a good friend.
I am on holidays for a couple more weeks which is so good. I have been sewing and pottering around the house and garden.
I have lots more gifts to share so I'll be back tomorrow. have a great day.

Christmas gifts

A few more photos of my wonderful gifts from sisbabe A lovely mug rug that actually matches my santa sack.
I love this sack, the colours are so me.
I also received this adorable little bag, its so cute.
Some stationary nic nacs which will come in very handy.
Lillian at work is having a christmas theme of Lime, Aqua and silver so I made her some gifts to match.
I went everywhere looking for an aqua bowl, I made some felt flowers to go with it.
Then I made some lime green flower tags to go with Lillians gift. I was thrilled they turned out so well.  I'm not much of a scrapbooker.

Today I'm going out for High Tea with some very special friends. Enjoy your day.

Jack..... you make me so happy

My Union Jack quilt is almost finished, yippeeeeee, I just need to put the binding on which I think I will do over christmas. I absolutely loved making this quilt, the blocks were easy and I loved mixing up different fabrics.
Its so big, it fits on my bed just perfectly with quite a bit of  over hang which looks nice.

Here is a close up of the quilting, its called Bubbles. I like this design, I wanted something simple and not floral. It took me about 3 hours to quilt it.
I love this photo of the quilt all crumpled, it looks so snuggly don't you think?
On Thursday night my youngest son had his grade 6 leavers dinner. It was a proud moment for us. They grow up too fast.
He is nearly as tall as me already.
Our eldest son Daniel just loves having his photo taken with me, look how happy he is. lol And when did he get so tall.

Have a wonderful weekend, I plan to do some sewing, how about you?

Fernhill is finished

After 9 months of working on this block of the month, its finally all done. Lynette Anderson has done it again with such a beautiful design. The buttons are adorable and the applique is very cute.
 Look at this sneaky fox.
And this cute little squirrel. I have never seen a real squirrel, have you? I did see a real fox a few years ago and I don't know who was more scared, me or the fox.
This little quilt will hang up at work now as a shop sample for customers to admire.
I have finished sewing all my christmas gifts, just one more to post and then I'm done. I'm looking foreward to making something for me on my holidays over Christmas.

Have a wonderful week and I hope you get some sewing done.

Anyone would think its Christmas...

The postie has been very busy this week, delivering lots of parcels to my house.  Each day the boys get home from school and see more gifts with MY name on it. Not fair they say..... lol  Today my SSCS gift arrived all the way from New Zealand. The ornament above I made for my  SSCS partner Oddbjorg in Norway.

This cute little fellow was my ornament from Sue for the swap,
My on line stitching group also do a secret santa swap and my gifts arrived today,
Look at this full santa sack, all the gifts inside are from sisbabe for the Santa sack swap which actually started way back in July, we had to send 2 gifts per month.
It won't be long and I can open them all, I can't wait. I think my boys are excited to see  whats inside as well. They may be growing older but Christmas still excites them.

2 Christmas Quilts

I have been busy finishing off my new Christmas quilts, the first one is designed by Kate Spain. I love this pattern. The quilt is so bright and cheery. Perfect for our hot Aussie Christmas.

I love the back just as much as the front. Gorgeous Christmas fabric from Spot light.
Here it is hanging in my hall way.
The next quilt is still waiting for binding, its called Vintage holiday by Camille from Thimble blossoms.
I love Camille's pattern, they are so easy to follow and so well written. This quilt was so much fun to put together.
Today I need to keep working on my christmas table runner and just maybe it will be ready to use on Christmas day.
What are your plans for the day?
