We have had such glorious weather this weekend it was hard to stay inside and sew, but I did manage a little bit. I made this new cushion for our sofa in the lounge, all in French General fabric and printed linen, I thought it turned out pretty well and it matches my quilt just perfectly.
I used a charm pack for the middle and just cut it up into sections and chose my favourite prints.
Here is the back, complete with button holes that I did on my sewing machine for the very first time. I was very impressed with myself. The buttons look better for real than in the photo.
I have also nearly finished the last block of Sweetheart houses. Hooray. I'll be glad when this quilt is all done.
I also spent lots of time last night on this stitchery by Helen Stubbings but I have ran out of thread. Have to wait til I get some more.
How did you spend your Sunday? I'm going to do some baking now for school lunch boxes. Have a great day.

Your cushion looks great, Leanne. Good job on the buttons too.
Your cushion is lovely Leanne. Speaking of baking reminds me I need to made some choc chip cookies for the boys' lunches too!
Such a nice cushion tou made Leanne, it fits really good with your quilt. I also need to learn how to sew buttonholes. Then I need less fabric on the backside.
Love the cushion...you have inspired me!
Last weekend was too cold and miserable to be in the sewing room and this weekend was too sunny and nice! A lovely cushion and pretty stitchery.
Love your cushion and the stitchery is lovely also. Don't you just hate running out of thread when you are just about finished. Oh well nearly there. Hugs.....

LOVE your cushion. Beautiful colors. I hate running out of thread in the middle of something :( Enjoy your evening, hugs
Beautiful cushions and stitching Lizzie, I love the patchwork design on the front......funnily enough I made a new cushion for my sofa this weekend and used a zipper closure........I'm determined to conquer my fear of putting in zips........haven't even started on my fear of buttonholes yet, lol.

Love the cushion...Good work on the button holes...I know they are probably easy on the machine but I still avoid them! Your stitchery is lovely....hope you find some more thread so you can finish it.
The cushion is just lovely Leanne...
Beautiful cushion Leanne, great use of the charms. I spent my Sunday doing the washing that got neglected while I was out on Saturday! x
Your cushion is gorgeous, love your design. Your other projects are lovely too, hugs Wendy
I'm loving everything about your new cushion Leanne. The fabrics are gorgeous.. the button back is perfect and the overall effect is pure class! At the risk of sounding like a groupie... your little house is super cute and the stitchery is very sweet too.
The cushion is very pretty. We are visiting our oldest son now and spent Sunday with them - as well as the rest of this week (and we'll be here about a month. My GS loves the quilt I made out of the Australian fabric that you sent me. I have it on the back of the couch of the camper, and if I do say so myself, it really looks good there.
Always something new and interesting happening at your place Leanne, your cushion is beautiful and it does match your quilt perfectly.
What beautiful choices for your lounge room, warm & happy. Your new cushion looks at home already. The printed linen is a lovely idea. xx
Beautiful cushions Leanne and other sewing you've been doing :-)
