Keeping busy

I have had a good week of sewing time this week, I have dragged this block of the month out of the cupboard and have been working on it everyday. I saw this same quilt all finished and it was stunning so that was all the inspiration I needed to get back to working on mine.

I only have 2 blocks left to make and then the borders.

Sarah quilted my little twirl quilt, it turned out beautiful, so now I  need to get the binding sewn on today and in the evenings I can hand sew it down.

A little while ago I joined a christmas swap on Instagram, here are the goodies I sent to my partner. I made a basket and filled that with tea and chocolate, I made a little mug rug and a cute binding goody bag. I was happy with how they all turned out. My gift hasn't arrived yet but I'll be sure to share it when it does,

My garden is bloomin' beautiful right now, my Lilliums look amazing, all the orange ones are in full bloom, then when they finish I have pink and yellow yet to flower and by christmas all my white Lilliums will be in flower,
I have got a few poppies growing, they are so pretty. I don't have much luck growing poppies from seed. Any tips would be wonderful if you have any. I searched it up on the internet and some people say plant seeds in soil, others say they need light to germinate so sprinkle on top of soil, I did both and hardly any grew. I sprinkled at least 20 packets of seeds and none of them grew.
Wishing you all happy week, I hope you find some sewing time.

Thankyou for stopping by.

I love both of your quilts! Of course I love anything blue. Would you mind sharing the name/designer of the leaf quilt? I think I need one of those. Lovely swap items. Your partner is very lucky.

Love that quilt Leanne....such gorgeous fabric, keep going. It's amazing how we get motivated after being with others all sewing together.
Sorry can't help you with the gardening problems, no green thumb here.

It is amazing just seeing someone else show one of your UFOs that inspires you to get back to it. Your work is beautiful. The flowers are stunning I only seem to be able to grow weeds,

Hi Leanne,
lovely flowers you have in your garden. My poppies wouldn't also grow very well. I had some lila ones, very nice colour, but it's very difficult to let grow. I think the seeds were eaten by worms before they could come out.

Leanne that BOM looks interesting, who's the designer? The leaves quilt turned out gorgeous, as I knew it would!
That's bad luck about the poppies, but you'll probably figure it out eventually... good luck

Hello my dear.... everything is bringing a smile to my day. I don't recognize the fabric in your BOM. Maybe Tilda fabric???? It is going to be a fabulous finish. And your Fig tree leaves has made me want to make my own really bad. I Recently came across the pattern, even on clearance, but did not check out with it. I have had a little fabric shopping therapy in the last week and it is so hard to let some things go. I want it ALL ! I came across a free pattern that is similar so I'm going to see if I can make that work for a similar result. The poppy's are hard to start from seed and don't do well transplanting from my experience. Will have to do a bit of research on that. So disappointing to go to all the trouble with very little pleasure.
Happy sewing today. It is a rainy day here. I have a few errands to run and then I hope to sew the day away. Janita
