Bags and postcards
Here are some new postcards I made for my swaps, this time I printed a postcard template from the internet onto fabric and used them for my backing. I think they look really professional, don't you? I love to make postcards, I also collect the paper kind so I have quite a few in my collection,
Every woman loves bags of any kind, here is my latest creation, its a little sewing bag for all my goodies, I also made one for my mother in law for her birthday but I forgot to take a photo before I sent it it her. I love making little things.

Once again I have joined Helen's stitchers Angel swap, I was in this last year and I had a great time making the projects, actually I am still in regular contact with the lady who was my partner last time. We have had a few of our own swaps, if you would like to join in please go to Helen's blog and get all the details.

Busy Lizzie
This weekend I had to chance to do some quilting on my own projects, I went to work yesterday and spent 4 hours happily finishing off my quilts onthe big long arm quilt machine, they look really lovely and I'm pleased with the designs I chose, you can't really see the quilting in these photos.
This log cabin mini quilt is a BOM I'm doing with The Quilted Crow, its called Laura's legacy and each month we get a mini kit.

A busy weekend

I love a long weekend, especially when you have time for sewing, yesterday I started putting these blocks together, they are from Natalie Birds book "From the Heart" The quilt is starting to look really pretty. I also made a few more Dear Jane blocks, I'm really loving these, I must admit to doing the easy blocks first. Once I grasp the technique of foundation piecing I'll be able to tackle the more difficult blocks. I hope you all found some time to work on your projects over the weekend.

Hanging quilts
I decided I wanted to hang this quilt of mine in the hallway, after alot of discussion with my husband about how to actually attach it to the wall we came to a compromise and here it is. We ended up putting in 2 cup hooks and placing the rod in each end. I'm still not happy with it so I'm trying to talk Paul into making me a shelf so I can hang the quilt from the bottom of it, How do you hang your quilts???? any ideas would be great.

Happy Mothers Day
Its a very special mothers day for me, my beautiful boys and husband gave me the ultimate gift... my very own laptop. Whoo hoo. No more kicking the boys off the computer so I can get on. Its very exciting to say the least. jacob made me a beautiful card and wrote on it, thankyou for caring for me and Nicky made me a paper flower, it says inside thankyou for buying me treats. I thought that was gorgeous. They always seem to get treats. I hope all mums are having a wonderful day with their families.

A day of sewing with friends
Yesterday at 7.30 am Marina and I headed off to Campania for a day of fun and sewing with the quilted crow girls Leonie and Deidre. It was their Autumn gathering and the 2 designers for the day were the delightful Helen Stubbings and Natalie Ross, both Ladies have some beautiful projects.
These were my purchases for the day, I just loved the reproduction cowboy fabric, I have big plans for that little bundle.

Happy sewing everyone.

Almost easter
Not long now until easter bunny comes to my house for a visit and hopefully leave us some eggs. I have had a busy week doing lots of sewing. I am making a table runner for the shop, nearly finished the stitcheries, I'm also going well with my version of Neenie's garden designed by Helen Stubbings of Hugs and kisses. I have a bit more stitching to do then I'll post some photos.
Ok, better get back to it. Have a great day everyone and happy sewing.
