In between sewing my blocks I made these 2 cakes, don't they look yummy.
I also made this Lemon and passion fruit slice, the boys got into it before I was ready to take photo. Its so easy to make I thought I would share the recipe with you.
1 cup of Self raising flour
1 cup of desiccated coconut
1/2 cup castor sugar
125 grqams of melted butter
TOPPING
395 gram tin of condensed milk
1/2 cup of lemon juice
1/4 cup of passionfruit pulp (I bought a tin)
Preheat oven 180 degrees C
Mix dry ingredients and make a well in the middle, make a well in the middle and pour in melted butter. Mix well. Press firmly into the bottom of a tin lined with baking paper.
Cook for 12 minutes or until golden.
Combine topping ingredients and pour over base and bake a further 8-10 minutes. Until the top is set.
Allow to cool and chill over night.
Lift slice from tray and peel away paper, cut into pieces and drizzle with extra passionfruit.
Enjoy.

Yum! Will have to try that one in the holidays!
Thankyou

The blocks look great! And it is sewing every time. But, once in a while I do like to cook, especially now that I am retired and have more time. However, I could spend all day sewing and not get tired of it!
it's a tough one for me to decide between cooking and sewing! I seem to stuff up less with my sewing though! Your slice looks lovely - I have book marked this page to try it sometime soon :)
I like both of course! I have a glut of lemons right now and I adore passionfruti so I fancy making your slice. The cakes look nice, would you share the recipe for those too please? I think I have a layer cake of that fabric range. It looks marvellous made up like that. Ann :-)
