My Friday night sewing

It was a good Friday night for me in my sewing room,  I started a new project. Its a free pattern by kate Spain on the moda fabrics web site. Its a beautiful pattern full of pieced blocks in Kate's beautiful fabric range Soliste.
I'm going to enjoy this pattern very much.
Speaking of patterns I am busy writing up my newest design. So much work goes into pattern writing, some times I  really struggle but the more I design  the better I will get ( I hope )
I had a very exciting day today. I taught my very first patch work class, I was a bit nervous to start with but the ladies in my class were just the nicest bunch. They soon made  the butterflies disappear. Next week I'll take my camera and share some photos of their progress. It was a great day. I bought this lovely Layer cake by Sweet water. I want to make a few boy things which this fabric will be perfect for.
My on line Friends in stitching group does a birthday swap every year. We are always set a challenge and this year we had to make a black and white bag. I chose a pouch to make my partner, It turned out so well. I just made it up as I went.

So after a busy Friday night and Saturday I plan to take it easy tomorrow, do some baking and of course I'll fit in some sewing there somewhere.

If you would like to see what the other wonderful ladies did for Friday night sewing click here and click on their names. Youre bound to be very inspired.

Happy sewing.
