Time for a new project

I have had a lovely weekend, I started cutting into this beautiful bundle of Fig tree quilts fabrics. They are mostly scraps and a few fat eights.

I started sewing a new project. Its a quilt called Sunshine frolics by Natalie Bird, I love her designs, they are just so sweet and fun to do.

This is block one. I love the little rabbits peeking over the sun flowers. I'll share my progress as I Make and stitch each block.

While I was sewing I also whipped up this pin cushion using 1 inch strips and a court house steps design, it turned out really well. I love projects that don't take long to make.

How did you spend your weekend? I hope you found some sewing time.

Those fabrics are simply yummy! and really like the design as well. I spent the weekend finishing off a quilt that has been hanging around for quite a few months now and needed alot of beads sewn on. Posting pics soon.

That Fig Tree fabric is the perfect match for your gorgeous stitcheries. It will be a stunning quilt. I love the pincushion, red & yellow is one of my favourite comblinations, mind you - the list of favs is long. I am just taking a break from sitting watching TV & binding a little swap wall hanging. Perth has a public holiday tomorrow so on to the next project then - yippee! Have a brilliant week. Tracee xxx

That's a nice start of a new quilt. I love your Fig tree fabrics. I didn't sew a lot this weekend. Remi had swimming lessons, Bart went cycling 2 afternoons, so I played a lot with the kids.
