Tilda & Greengate

During the week I received some wonderful mail. I got a very special package all the way from England. My dear friend Christine from patchwork all sorts  and I did a little Tilda swap with each other.
Christine made me the most beautiful Table runner in my favourite tilda fabrics. Look at the pretty embroidery in the middle,
You will also notice my gorgeous new Greengate latte cups that also arrived in the post on Friday. I couldn't wait to tear into the box and see these precious cups that I love so much.
They match my new tilda runner perfectly.
Christine also made me the cutest tissue cover, its so adorable and  the tiny piece of lace with the button makes it so delicate and pretty.

I also received this lovely tea pot cosy, it looks perfect  in my kitchen.

Thankyou so much Christine, you made my day with your beautiful gifts. I will treasure them always.
A few weeks back I bought some new tilda fabrics, I didn't really have a plan for them so they have sat on my desk being admired everyday then at last I decided to make some hexagon flowers with a few of the smaller prints so today I'm going to cut those out. Its the perfect on the go project and will be good to work on at night when I relax and watch a bit of tele.

Thought I  may as well share all my Greengate collection with you all.  It lives in the kitchen all bunched together looking beautiful.

I really don't like this part of my kitchen with all the cupboards, they have been there since the house was built in 1958. Everyone that comes to my house says how much they love it and its very retro. I guess first impressions are great but when you have to live with it you get bored with it all. It is great storage though. We had plans to get a new kitchen this year but I want to go back to the USA for a holiday so the kitchen can wait another few years.

Ok time to cut into that pretty tilda fabric, have a great Sunday and I hope you find some  sewing time.

Lovely swap gifts - when Tilda fabrics are involved it's pretty by default, isn't it? I admit I would love to have that storage but perhaps you could trick it up with different doors? Glass fronted perhaps. Then again, I'd choose the USA trip very time.

I love your Greengate cups! I'm going a weekend to Bruges next week, where I will look for some new Greengate-things. You should paint the cupboard in light pink, that would be great.

Hello Leanne,
That is a beautiful table runner and the Tilda fabrics are amazing. Those are lovely cups too. They go well in you amazing cabinet. That is a perfect way to display dish ware. Thank you for your comment, and I can't believe that the seasons are changing for us. I can't wait for Spring and I hope you have beautiful colors of Autumn in your garden.
Have a wonderful Sunday and week ahead.

Leanne, Your little treasures are delightful. They will bring lots of warm fuzzies to your day as you enjoy them. :) I am not familiar with the Tilda fabrics here in the U.S.A. One little visit to their blog has brought instant love. I have always loved soft florals.

I'm visiting from Christine's blog.

Thanks for sharing.
