A cold Sunday Morning

Oh boy its cold this morning, it was -2 when I got out of bed. I should have stayed there. Its a lovely sunny day though and a thick frost everywhere, so I reckon by lunch time it will be at least oh..... 5 degrees. Time to turn the fire up I think.  I have a beautiful quilt to share with you today. I have been working on this dresden quilt for well over 12 months.
It was on eof those projects that I lost interest in for awhile then I'd get it out again and do a bit more. Finally its finished. Well almost, need to bind it yet. I wanted to show you the beautiful quilting that was done by Sarah at patchworks plus, its all custom quilted and it turned out amazing. I have never had a quilt of mine custom quilted before.
Its a bit hard to see the full detail but each block has a floral pattern.
I really love this quilt and I am looking foreward to getting the binding on so I can use it on these cold mornings.
Speaking of bindings, I got this quilt bound as well. I took a little trip to the park for some smart photography. It was good fun.

I am thinking of a new design to use my new Hello Darling fabric bundle by Bonnie & Camille, its such a pretty range. I love their fabrics.
Ok, its time for a nice hot cup of tea to warm me up.
Have a wonderful day and I hope you find some sewing time.

We have had some very cool days here and I'm enjoying it. It will become unbearably soon enough. Your new stack of fat quarters look like a lot of fun colors. Enjoy!
