I have had quite a productive this week, husband has been on night shift all week so I didn't get much of chance to play in my sewing room, however I did make the most of time and sewed the binding on 2 quilts. Yes you read right..... 2 quilts. I'm not a lover of binding and if truth be told I still have at least 4 quilts waiting for their binding.
I was so happy to get this quilt finished. Its for Daniel our eldest son and I thought if I don't get it finished soon winter will over and he won't need it until next year.
I do love this quilt, Fabrics are called Feed Company by Sweetwater and Pattern is called Cozy by Cotton way.
I also got the binding sewn down on my Tone it down quilt.
I only got to 9 blocks and decided that was enough so its a lovely size for a lap quilt.
Scrappy borders are great for using left over layer cake squares and fat quarters.
Yesterday I started on a new project, this is for a gift and when its finished I'll share a photo. I do love little dredsen plates, they are just so darn cute.
I bought myself a little china bowl, I thought it would be perfect for my pins. Now I just need to find some good magnets and I can glue them to the bottom.
Its such a gloomy, rainy day today so I'm staying in my sewing room all day. I have so much to sew.
Have a wonderful day and I hope you find some sewing time.

Beautiful quilts. Love the Dresden & the bowl. Hugs, xx
Love your quilts, especially the one for your son. Binding is a funny thing, you either love it or hate it. Enjoy your rainy day.
You have a son Daniel too! I love the quilt you have made him- perfect for a male! And Tone It Down is the pretty one! DO you have a recipient in mind or is that one staying to live with you? Nothing beats a Dresden, does it! A lovely post as always Leanne!
Hi Leanne I love both quilts. I actually love doing the binding on a quilt, I find it so relaxing sitting in front of the TV sewing it down knowing that the quilt is almost finished. X:)
Beautiful Quilts. lovely Dresden.
It can't be too gloomy surrounded by all those pretties. Such a pretty Dresden, and a gorgeous bowl! Send me all your quilts and I'll bind them for you. That's one of my favorite parts, because then they're FINISHED!!
Leanne, both those quilts are really beautiful!!! I love the one you made for your son, I bet my son would love one like that! I also love the other one, it's very scrappy and I know it took a lot of time! I love binding quilts, I find it very relaxing :) I can sit down with my husband and watch TV while I do handwork, and I don't need the best light to do binding, unlike embroidery! The Dresden is really pretty too! I love all your projects :)
Hello Leanne! What beautiful quilts you managed to bind! They are both fabulous and I love your new project.... looks exciting! What a great idea your pretty little china bowl is too! Hope your weather brightens up! :) x
Love the Big star! Good for you for attacking that binding. It has been crazy here with cleaning and family visiting.... very little sewing : ( When will it be officially spring for you? Janita
It's a great feeling to sew in that last binding stitch. Two lovely quilts.
Gosh Leanne, what lovely quilts. I should pop down and bind those quilts for you as I love putting the binding on quilts. Cost you a couple of cups of tea! Another pretty Dresden and for a gift - someone is in for a treat.
What a beautiful quilt for Daniel! I love the colours so much! We are planning our trip to England, we leave on the 12d of August for 10 days. I hope for you the rain is gone soon, here it is 25 degrees. I really like summer (allthough I don't sew that much then :-(
