I had a very productive Friday night with friends, it all started very early Friday morning, I love having days off especially when I can stay home and sew. I had big plans all week as to what I was going to work on, I was sorting through some things when I found a pattern that I had bought ages ago. Well I couldn't stop thinking about this pattern and how I wanted to make it.
So I thought I'll just sort through some fabrics to see what I can use for my pattern, well you know how it is, one thing led to another then the next thing I knew I was cutting into my very beautiful Sweet Water stash. Then of course I thought I'll just make the centre block then I can get back to my regular sewing. Well of course that never happened until much later in the day.
By about 4pm I had the centre of the quilt made. Here is a peek. Its looking beautiful and I can't wait to show you what I achieved today.
Last night I did sit for a couple of hours and hand stitch some dresden plate blocks to the back ground fabrics, today I started putting it together and I love it alot.
Almost there, just 2 more dresden blocks to make.
My on line sewing group did a tilda swap and this is what I received from lovely De, Look at the cutest little bunny you ever did see, She is so sweet. And perfect for easter.
De also made me a pretty tilda needle case, it will come in very handy.
Thankyou De, my gifts are beautiful and I will treasure them always.
Thankyou to Cheryll for hosting last nights sewing , if you would like to see what other ladies got up to click here.
Happy Easter. I hope you are having a lovely break and getting some sewing done.

Hello Leanne,
My goodness you got an amazing amount done. Such pretty fabrics. Love the little needle case you received.
Happy days.

Hello Leanne! What a lot of stitching you got finished! I am loving the quilts! Happy Easter!! :) x
lovely quilt. You have been busy.Love your Tilda gifts.
you accomplished a lot. nice job
Hi Leanne thank you for the lovely letter. Hoping to drop you a line over the Easter Weekend. I adore Tilda as you know and your Bunny is supper cute I make them as gifts for friends and family who are expecting. X:)Have a lovely Easter X:)
You certainly were productive - what lovely projects! Stars and Dresdens will always win my affections. That perfectly cut and placed check fabric in the star block is very impressive. I generally avoid checks and stripes - too stressful!
So many lovely things. How cute is the rabbit from De!
We'll just add Sweetwater fabrics and bunnies to the list of things we enjoy together, I read though some of your earlier posts ( getting to know you a bit more) and smiled when I saw you had purchased some Sweetwater fabric. :) I have loved the Sweetwater creations for a long time. I have a delightful stash of Sweetwater fabrics. Funny how similar our tastes are. Also saw a scrappy star quilt you made I loved .
I"m looking forward to seeing your finished quilt. I have a top done in "Mamma Said Sew"... need to get the backing figured out this month.
Happy Easter to you and your family.

What a busy bee you have been, Happy Easter x
It may not have been what you intended to sew, but isn't it wonderful to have the time to be whisked away by creativity! Your new block looks great, as do your dresdens. And even better, one more day to go!
Super pretty post Leanne. Love your dresdens.... so bright and cheerful. Can't wait to seem more of the 'old' pattern you came across. ;) Very pretty vignette featuring your gorgeous new bunny and your lovely china. Lovely gifts..... Happy Easter... stitch on girl...
Leanne, you had such a productive FNWF, I am so impressed by your beautiful patchwork and yes, that bunny is so cute and just perfect for Easter.
