For a little while now I have been wanting to make a 1930's quilt, it took me ages to decide on a pattern then I thought why not make a sampler quilt so thats what I'm doing. I wanted to make 15 inch blocks and that was harder than you would think to find the block patterns, I found a few freebies from the internet then my good friend Kate lent me a book and its full of 15 inch blocks.

Flowers and Stitching
Look at these gorgeous flowers, to look at them you would think they were minature roses but they're not. Would you belive they are geraniumns, yes the boring old geranium is no more. I'm not sure what this variety is called as I grew them from a cutting but they are definately one of my favourites.

I'll have to keep my eye out for some of those geraniums...they're quite unique. Nice work on the blocks...the one a the top is very pretty....luv 1930's fabrics.
