Last Saturday my sewing room looked like this. Believe me I didn't know where to start. I slowly started sorting through the big pile of fabrics, crafts and books and putting them away.
Lucky for me everything fits beautifully in my new cupboards. I have 2 double door pantries and 2 singles so plenty of room.
I enjoyed setting up the shelves above my desk, Every now and again I can change things around. I thought a few Christmas items during the holiday season will look really pretty.
Of course the area above the cupboards is good for my quilts and a few boxes.
I spent most afternoons last week painting the book case. It came up really good. I like the freshness of white. I also like to be able to display things. I never could before as all my sewing goodies were in the laundry. I reckon I'll be changing that around to with different things.
I found this cute vase to hold some of my very special tilda fabric.
Here it is... my new but old sewing table. It looks gorgeous in my room. At 100 years old it is in pretty good condition. We had to tie it to the roof of the car last week to get it home. That was a scarey ride.
I still haven't painted my desk, I will get around to it next weekend I hope. I have a shocking cold and I have felt miserable all day. I had big plans to do things but I haven't done much at all.
I love this space, once the desk is painted it will be much nicer. So there you have it. My new sewing room. I still can't quite believe its mine. What do you think??
To celebrate the completion of my sewing room I'm having a give away. These 2 charm packs. Please leave a comment telling me what you like most about your sewing room. I'll draw a winner next Sunday.

Looking very organised Leanne! I love my room because it's mine and if it's messy so what i can just shut the door.
Your room looks beautiful Leanne, I love all your decorating and organisation! Enjoy!!
I love your sewing room, the white makes everything look so fresh & pretty. Your desk is very beautiful, the stress of the drive home was well worth it. That is a great idea with your Tilda fabrics in the glass vase - clever you! My little sewing room is full so I have a sewing station alongside my desk in what should be the formal dining room. I love that it is next to a big window so I can see the garden outside & usually at least 1 cat sunbaking. Tracee xx
Your sewing room is looking fantastic, Leanne. How lucky are you to now have a dedicated space. You need to join in the Moda studio tour! The table is unbelievable, love it. Beats my sofa table and kitchen bench combo :-)
What a lovely new & bright sewing space....well done on all your hard work!! I love you new/old table, what a treasure! I hope your cold is better soon, there are some nasty ones about at the moment.
Cheers....Jane.
Your sewing room is so pretty Leanne and you have set things up so lovely and the table...WOW! What a find!
Now that's a hard question...what I love most about my sewing room would have to be that I can sit and sew and look out the window at my little garden and watch all the birds that visit!
Lisa
What an amazing space Leanne....looks awesome....my sewing what I like...its mine..!!!!! LOL
I love your well organised new room. I love how your white shelves show up all the gorgeous looking goodies.
The dream that one day I will get one. I sew on the kitchen table so it needs to be packed up every day.
We are talking about filling in the carport to move my husbands music room downstairs then my son across into that room which would leave me with a room, which I would have to share with any visitors that some to stay.
My dream is to make it girly...with lots of great things from swaps that I have been in.
So the cough became a cold....buggar!! Hope your feeling ok soon!! Xx
Leanne your new sewing room looks fantastic and love your old sewing table, its beautiful.
What i love about my sewing room is now its tidy and clean, lol.xx
Your room looks gorgeous!!! Well, I will love my sewing room when it gets to be ready :) We should get started right away, but our hobbies take so much time :) I would like a large comfy cupboard and a wall to stick on my finished blocks....

Hi Leanne, Your sewing room looks great!!! I haven't got a sewing room but I'm dreaming of a sewing room where everything is organised. The fabrics by colour, a great bookshell, decorated with a nice wallpaper with flowers and a lovely color of paint on the wall!!! A real room for a woman in a men household!!! But it's a dream...........
Good luck with your sewing room!!!
Love, Martine
It looks fantastic and must have been so much fun to organise. I love my room because its nice and cozy has lots of light and is just my room!
I love my room because it is in the conservatory or really the extension of the lounge and I have my machine set up all the time. I can sew in the evenings and keep an eye on a tv programme or anytime during the day and I'm not shut away at the end of the house.
It looks wonderful!! My favorite thing is my sewing table, which is quite large and has room enough to baste smaller quilts (when it is cleared off, which it isn't very often! LOL!
Your sewing room look great love all the thing you have deck out your sewing room with. what I like the most in my sewing room is my mother in law sewing table it was made by my father in law.
I love my sewing room even more today as I get some more cupboards in.........it's great being able to have the space to have everything organised.........
Wow your room looks fantastic. At the moment my space is in chaos (we have moved this weekend) but I have. Y machine up on the table already so maybe that's my answer :) hugs
Your new sewing space is just wonderful. So happy for you. Hope you feel better soon.
WOW you've accomplished soooo much! Love all the white as it makes everything else stand out, well done!!
What I like about my sewing room is that it's mine and I can leave everything set up just the way I want it.My FIL made me two long tables and underneath I store lots of my stuff hidden away behind the curtains I made for them both.
Hope you're felling better soon, nothing worse than feeling ill and wanting to organise/sew in your new space :) Barb.
Oh, Leanne, it's beautiful. Love your new old table. It's perfect in your room. Enjoy!
your's is beautiful mine is the dining room table
Your entire room is absolutely beautiful! It looks clean and refreshing - a perfect environment to be creative in! I have no sewing room. Just a spot in the corner of my family room and it is tight. Maybe one day I can have one of my own! So happy for you! :)
I wish I had your sewing room. The table was worth it. For being sick you accomplished a lot. The best thing about my sewing room is that "its all mine".
Wow it is finally done and you are all in, fantastic! Looks like all that planning and dreaming while wathing it be built has paid off, it looks gorgeous, a very inspiring place for you to play in! enjoy!
What I like best about my sewing room is the big window in front of my desk - I can sit there and sew and still keep an eye on my children playing in their hut at the same time. Your sewing room is great - love the table.
I wish I had a sewing room! I sew in the corner of a spare bedroom! but I would love a light airy room all to myself!!!
hmmm wonder if it will stay that organised..rofl...looks just gorgeous Leanne..well done
OMG Your room is GORGEOUS and just like a little shop!
Thank you so much for my B day gift. I sent you a text but not sure if you got it or not :)
Have a great week
Love your new room!
I don't really have a room. Just a desk and some shelves at one end of the living room. But I love that I can sew and still interact with my girls.
Hi Leanne,
Your sewing room is georgeous. Very nice in white, it matches very well with your Tilda (and other colourfull) fabrics and decorations. What I would love in my sewing room is a comfortable sofa (for 1 person)covered with rose-fabric to sit in and quilt, or just sit and dream about new projects!!
I used to love mine big and roomy and mine. I could sew for hours and the leave it and go back to it, was the best.
But now I share it with a cumbersome electic wheelchair. and a walker, that allow my man the asbility to go out to appointments alone. It is necessity for my Dear Darling Hubbie who is now confinded to the wheelchair. So I cant easily get in there. So SIGH, I now sit at a cardtable in the lounge room to sew. But I would rather forgo the sewing room than my darling Hubbie . So thems the breaks
Hi Leanne Wow! Wow! Wow! your sewing room is fab. I love my sewing room because it is my happy creative place. xx

Your sewing room looks just great. It gives me pause to think about my own space. I think my favorite things about my own sewing space are that it is large, airy and has great natural light due to wonderful windows. It has no storage at all, though, so that part of my sewing is hidden away in a bedroom closet.
Your room looks like it's ready to be featured in a craft mag, Leanne! What I love about my Space (because I don't have the whole room) is that I have all the little comforts like a fan for summer/little heater for winter, a pretty courtyard to look out to, and my mp3 dock for playing music while i sew...
What I like best about my sewing room is my ability to imagine it, lol!
Your sewing room, on the other hand, is just perfection. Well done!
Your sewing room makes me realise I need to clean mine up! I just love your new, old sewing table. The thing I like about my sewing room is that my sewing machine is always set up. If I only have 10 minutes, I can sew without having to pack up everything.
I love all your Tilda I have the same tins arn't they just divine!I love it when it is all organised and I can find things when I need them.

Oh my! How can you/we choose a favourite part of your room! Its beautiful. Storage, displays, shelving but I think if I had to choose I would chooose the desk! It looks fabulous. well done. It must feel wonderful being in there.
Well, I think it's fabulous, best present your husband has ever given you - well apart from your 3 gorgeous boys! Roll on school holidays - time to clear out some rooms here and do a big reshuffle!
Your room is looking great and so much fun getting it all set up :)
Your sewing room looks wonderful. So fresh, airy and bright - gorgeous.
