Sunday sewing

Thankyou to  everyone who left such lovely comments on my last post about my sewing room. I am having so much fun in there. I have chosen a winner for my charm pack give away and that lucky person is Christine M.
Please email me your address Christine and I'll post these out to you.
At work last week we got some beautiful Tilda fabrics, they are so pretty. I have had fun playing with these.

I thought I would have a go at designing my own project so stay tuned for more.
This is a table runner I made for my friend Wendy for her birthday at the start of the month. The good old tumbler blocks, looks good in any fabrics. These french General fabrics  give the block a modern feel.
Yesterday I sewed with some pretty tilda fabrics,  getting those white bars to keep straight with the next line was an effort. I think I have figured  it out now.
I have also finished 2 quilt tops, I'm so happy with how much I can achieve when I don't have to get everything out to sew for just a short period of time. Having it all set up ready to go is wonderful.
I have made this quilt before using Bliss fabrics and while I do love it I felt it wasn't Christmassey enough so I have made it again using Flurry by Kate Spain.

Thats all my show and tell for today, its going to rain here soon so can you guess where I'll be.  Have a great day.

It is great when you have a separate room for sewing. You can just stop and leave everything ready for the next time you get a few moments. Love all the quilt tops you are working on especially the Christmas one.

It's all so lovely Leanne, you are making the most of that new room. I saw the tumbler runner on Wendys blog, it is so cool in the French General fabrics. Are there any secrets to this design? Do you use a template?
Have a lovely sewing Sunday .... Nicky
