Yesterday was another hot day in Tassie so late in the afternoon we headed off to the beach. it was gorgeous there, even a little cool in fact, ah bliss.
We had a game of beach cricket, look at our wicket, I thought that was funny. Nicky had to stand there and hold it the whole time.
The sea was quite rough so the boys enjoyed riding the waves on their boogie boards and you can see hubby and number 1 son in the back ground getting on the kayak, Daniel fell off twice as he went side ways and the waves just tipped him over.
Here he is all wet and sandy.
Before we left for the beach I managed to get all the rows together for my quilt, it really didn't take that long as its not a big quilt, a nice lap size I'd say. I have sewn 5 rows together and today I'll do the rest and put the borders on.
Last week I made these 2 fabric buckets, they hold my threads and other goodies, they were so easy to make and having stiff wadding inside makes them very sturdy.
I hope you keep cool today and you find some sewing time.
Take care.

Cooling off was defintely the way to go. My word your boys have sprouted. Your hexie quilt is beautiful. I must ask you how it goes together as I have some precut hexies for a baby quilt.
What a nice quilt you are making! Fig tree fabrics are also one of my favourites.
Now that looks like so much fun! Hope things have cooled down for you now..... The new quilt is looking fantastic, it's coming together so quickly.
