Friday Night with friends

Last night was my  first time participating in Friday night with friends. I got so much done, it was great. I decided on my pattern which was a new one by Thimble blossoms called Juggling.
I cut out heaps of these hexagons and triangles then I couldn't wait to get my first row together. By 10.30pm I had 4 rows done. I plan to work in this again today.
Its great for scraps which is what I used, all fig tree scraps which are my favourite,
I wanted to show you the gift I made in the santa sack swap. My partner really wanted a hot water cover so luckily my dear friend Cathy came to the rescue with a pattern. I had never made a hot water bottle cover before but it wasn't as hard as I thought.  The photo above is the front.
This is the back, the binding strip is the opening where you slot the bottle.
I made this mini quilt/table topper for my friend Marina. We always exchange gifts with each other.
And yesterday I received a late christmas gift in the post all the way from my penfriend Steph in Belgium.
Imagine my delight when I found 2 gorgeous ornaments made by Steph and a charm pack of tilda fabric in a new range. Yay!!!!! I can't wait to play with these.

Have a wonderful weekend, I know I will.

Hello! I've just popped over from Cheryll's to check out your FNwFs and I'm so glad I did as I saw that new pattern the other day and wondered what it was like - now you'll be able to tell me what it's like when you're done!

Oh Leanne a Tilda charm pack - yippee! I have a print out of a free Moda Bakeshop pattern using that hexie pattern & charms to make a table runner. It was on the list for over Christmas but tomorrow is my last day off & it's no where near the top. Never mind, later in the year. Yours looks great in those fabrics! Tracee xx
