Holiday sewing

Good Morning to you all on this glorious Monday. I have one week left of my Christmas holidays and I have so much planned, I have been doing lots of sewing for me in my room room these last few days.  Its time to get a few older projects finished and move onto something new, I have started these sampler blocks with the new Strawberry Fields revisited fabric. I absolutely love this fabric. Its so soft and pretty. I have just ordered some yardage so hopefully that will be here by the end of the month.
So, I have made 16 blocks and I thought I'd make a sampler kind of quilt, I just need to add the sashing and borders and get this basket handle sewn down. I think its going to look really nice.
I have started a new Sew Together Bag, this pattern is awesome. If you haven't made one yet you really should try, they are time consuming but so worth it.
I added a little hardware to hold my scissors,
On New Years Day I made this cute pot holder, Sometimes its fun I  to start & finish something in an afternoon. Its much too pretty to use but it will look nice in my kitchen.
My lovely friend Jo made me this cute  mouse from Fig tree fabrics, oh she knows me so well, he is so cute.

Ok Time to get sewing and see what I can achieve today.

Thankyou for stopping by.

Sometimes I just smile thinking how much we are alike. Can't wait to get some strawberry fields in my stash... I just got in on the tail end of the first strawberry fields and I am wanting some more. You seem to get new fabrics much earlier than we do. And love the sew together bag. I have wanted to make one of those for a while. So I'm having a little Fig Tree envy here at the moment. I have been petting my fig tree stash the last few days.... so hoping to start a new project with fig tree fabric this year. Just have a few more things to finish. Yea for Holiday sewing! Take care.
